Back to Girl’s Camp - 2012

July 17 through July 21, 2012 Girl’s Camp was held several hours north east of here.

Weather: 98 degrees with a heat index of 105-110, 90% humidity and a dew point of 72.  Blah!

I hear cabins hold the heat more than the tents do!  When I think about the early settlers here I can see why my ancestors had the good sense to stay north or go west!  My girls asked me how they were going to make it through and I told them it was only for a few days.  When they came home they could bathe and enjoy the air conditioning once again.  In the meantime, TRY not to think about it too much and take advantage of every swimming opportunity.Smile  I can see why Girl’s Camp is usually in June here.
