The school year is rapidly coming to an end with just a few days left so Tristan’s cello choir held its annual recital at 5 p.m. tonight right before “Young Author’s Night” at 6 p.m. for the whole school.
It was short and sweet with 5 choir pieces and then some solos.
This finishes Tristan’s 3rd year studying cello privately and his second year playing with this after-school group. Next year he hopes to participate with the full beginning orchestra.
All background noise in the following clips is my Nathan. We’re still working on proper behavior at performances, of course, and will be for a while but not for lack of practice. These clips are very short… they are beginners still. Enjoy!
Fairview’s Cello Choir participants are pictured above along with Ms. Miller, their volunteer conductor.
Ms. Miller gave out awards of two kinds (the sweet one was his favorite). Tristan received the “Focus” award… appropriate since he is working on this characteristic in each area of life at home and at school. Tristan did a great job playing, has made much progress this year in his skill on the cello and we very much enjoyed his performance. He has worked hard this year.

Great job Tristan! Beautiful! It is so much fun being able to play a musical instrument and I'm sure you already know, you will always appreciate this skill. Keep up the great work!
