Today was the very last day of the school year for my children. Lindsay, coated in sunscreen, is equipped with bags of hot dog buns for their picnic and field day at a nearby park. Tristan brings several light sabers for a talent show??? That’s what he told me. His field day was yesterday. And Haley is going to say her final goodbye to the old school building. Flowers from the yard and cards go with them as final gifts. The three are excited for summer yet sad to say goodbye to friends and wonderful teachers. It’s a day of mixed emotion.
8/18/09 (first day) 5/26/10 (last day)
See how they’ve grown in 9 1/2 months!
ALL THREE came home with straight A’s this quarter!!!
At the beginning of the year Lindsay got a B (with an 89%) in Reading and Tristan got a B in Music and a C in German on report cards… but these children have worked hard, made improvements and done their best. I have no complaints and they are on their way with an annual trip to Chuck E Cheese’s for pizza and games sometime next week. Great work, kids!
Kaitlyn is looking forward to having more playmates around during the day time for the next 12 weeks and she is scheming with the older ones to be part of a backyard circus! Both Kaitlyn and Nathan look forward to taking full naps without having to be woken up to make the rounds for pick up.
I will be busy, in a good way.
