Today we took advantage of the mild weather… the only day this week without rain storms. And it wasn’t the muggy 85 degrees we had a week ago either. A very pleasant day around town and in the yard at home, the flowers are a little past their prime but still showing their beauty.
The carousel ride was lovely and we went on twice. These two little ones loved it.
The following are out in my yard today and I hope to cut some for our Easter table before more rain and wind comes through. The earlier blooming lilacs suffered slightly when they started coming out too early and we had a freeze. But all of their scents are heavenly. I wish spring lasted longer.
Nathan couldn’t be happier than when we go out in the backyard. Rick wasn’t so happy about having to mow before dinner and before we get 4 1/2 more inches of rain between tomorrow and Saturday. The front yard was looking pretty bushy. The back gets trampled more so we skipped that for now. There’s only so much time in one day. -Happy Springtime! And Happy Earth Day tomorrow!
