Christmas is for Kitty Cats too! Hearing the kids singing “You better watch out, you better not cry” however many times this month, even they know that Santa is watching and making his list of who’s naughty and who’s nice. I’ve got a few cats around the house who take doing their chores pretty seriously in hopes of maybe finding some catnip bubbles or maybe some kitty treats in their stockings on Christmas morning. Here are some pictures from around the house this month… proof positive that these kitties belong on Santa’s “nice” list!
Aside from answering the telephone every time it rings Sandy likes to help in the kitchen. The dishwasher is a favorite warm spot to keep me company in the kitchen.
Scruffles encourages nap time and makes a cozy bed-fellow for the younger children.
Spooky likes to pre clean dishes and make sure the dishwasher is loaded correctly. EVERY time!
Then there’s bed-making… a different bed every day of the week but Sunday! Sandy and Spooky make sure to help get the sheets off taking rides in them from the bed down to the floor, inspecting around and they make sure to help smooth the fresh sheets. Then they chase each other, one pouncing on the other who is still hiding under the blankets. Very important work in keeping an organized household. I very much like the company… these guys make me smile even doing the dullest mundane tasks.
And in the quiet of late evening there is time to dream of sugar plums… or perhaps catnip mice this time, that Santa might bring if only they are good enough; if they are as good as good can be. Christmas is a time for kitties too.
Adorable!!! I have one who really needs some help withe not being naughty thing! They did both try to help me with wrapping and putting presents into boxes yesterday on the dining rm. table; and, wouldn't you know it--the one thing that I wrapped that was fragile Tobey sent flying when he jumped into a box!!! And he's the good one!!!
