Tonight Lindsay gave a lesson out of this month’s Friend Magazine. The article “Just Smile” is a story illustrating President Monson’s quote: “A friendly smile, a warm handclasp, a sincere testimony of truth can literally lift lives, change human nature, and save precious souls.” Making a difference to someone else doesn’t have to be complicated and anyone can be a light in this world starting with even a very simple act.
As we approached bedtime, we formed teams to play a game which was fun for ALMOST all of us. Kaitlyn, Lindsay and I lost the game. But everyone was happy about the treats Rick had waiting for us. Nathan just took part in the ice cream part of the treat. It’s his favorite treat. It’s his only treat…so far. Don’t ask him how he likes cold peas! Rice cereal or bananas are his usual fare.
Nathan’s bite of ice cream is COOOOOOLD!

Our 15 year old cat, Cindi, always comes when she’s called. She sits in a row with the kids on the bench and patiently waits for handouts or fallout. She takes “kitchen clean-up” seriously and loves being a part of everything we do.
