Here comes Dr. Kaitlyn (or sometimes Dr. Bird) to give you a check-up. She likes to check hearts and give medicine.
Who can she check out now?
Here comes her next patient!
Besides learning about hearts in February, we work on other shapes as well. This toy is fun to sort by color, shape or size and to stack on the rods.
It’s also fun to dump and start over again.
Bears also come out in February; at least they do in our living room. Kaitlyn may love to “read” this book all by herself now but Nathan still prefers to taste the book before opening it to find the purple cat. He loves to hear the rhythmic words of this story when Kaitlyn or I read it aloud.
Nathan also likes to hold the 3 bears that go to this story called “You’re All My Favorites”. It is a great book about which child is the Mom and Dad’s favorite. After all, they must have a favorite, right?
Nathan experiments with this toy to see which way the ball will fall and where it will come out.
I am grateful that there are toys that hold this boys attention and that he is truly interested in his surroundings.
Kaitlyn puts together this Pooh Bear Puzzle over and over again. She is getting better and better at problem solving and reasoning where and how the pieces fit together.
Nathan likes this library book with baby faces a whole lot.
There is a mirror at the end of it too.
Later I found Sandy examining her reflection in the mirror of this book but then the bear caught her attention and she wouldn’t leave it alone.
She’s always in the middle of everything the kids are doing.
The sun happened to be shining in this spot making the mirror warm as well as the bear… good place for a nap.
Do you suppose this bear reminds Sandy of her mother or a litter mate possibly? She played with it and jumped at it for a long time biting its fuzzy ears before following it to the love seat for a nap. They have been there together for hours. I think Sandy may have adopted Nathan’s Minnesota Bear! I don’t know what he’ll think about that since he is often seen nuzzling with this bear as well. Perhaps I have a very eclectic litter of babies…a boy with his bear and a kitten who loves them both.

They can have their own little cuddle puddle with the bear, the cat, and the baby. Sandy is so cute with that bear. It sounds a lot like how mom's kittens would play/fight/clean and of course nap together.
ReplyDeleteOh and Kaitlyn is totally playing nurse. Nurses give medicine and listen to hearts all the time!!! She should come on over, I'll be her patient and she could listen to our baby's heart beat with my stethescope, its pretty cool!
Also, Nathan is at such a cute/fun stage. I just love when they can sit up like that but they're still so small. He is such a cutie!
