This week we made up a new way to play baseball. Everyone is successful and everyone has fun.
To begin, stand in front of the Oak tree and yell “Batter Up! Eye on the ball.” The ball is pitched and the batter swings. If the batter misses the ball there are no worries because the tree will hit the ball… or rather the ball will bounce off the tree. Hit or bounce it’s time to RUN!
The batter then runs as fast as he can while giggling as hard as he can around the base of the Oak tree while the rest of us go to grab the ball and chase him to try to tag him. The giggling and laughing while darting usually prevents the tag out and everyone is safe. No one is out and it is time to trade positions.
Whose up next? “Batter up! Eye on the ball!” This is a great game.
