Take a hot summer afternoon and let the kids outdoors in their swimsuits to see what their imaginations come up with…
A little water is refreshing to run through but not as fun as sliding into it. They tried to see how muddy they could get. (I had to stop Tristan from digging up grass at the bottom of the slide with a garden shovel… he wanted it muddier).
It was even better to have a friend to run around with.
Their thoughts began to wander from the sprinkler to the sandbox.
Kaitlyn and her friend (who now moved away) discussed the possibility of crossing paths when they are grown-ups; in college. That is planning ahead!
The kids gravitated over to the sandbox to see what Lindsay was doing.
The girls all made castles and mountains while Tristan ran for buckets of water. Sand was in the hair; sand was everywhere.
They poked a hole in the mountain with a stick, poured water in until it bubbled out… VOLCANO! The kids had an “awesome” time playing outdoors together. I love where their imaginations take them.
