Kaitlyn is THRILLED to have found this book at the store today. It is a favorite to get from the library and we love to chant it’s story even without the book when we often go on bear hunts at home. While we kind of know the story by heart, the pictures are fun and having the words right there helps me to remember the reverse order of things to get through as we run for our lives once we find the bear and have to get away from him quickly. We get sooooo into this story that indeed Nathan started screaming out of fear when we “found” the bear one adventure last month. He actually likes bear hunts now and comes every time he hears one begin. Another plus was that Kaitlyn was entertained through half the store we were at before she began helping me again. She even asked to sit in the cart with it for a while since it was hard to read and walk at the same time. Only when the cart became too full of groceries to comfortably fit her (the cart’s child seat already contained Nathan in his car seat) did she ask to get out and walk again, leaving the book behind until the car ride home.
